Detour’s printed map is a way to have everything and is to know about the community in the palm of your hand. With over 40,000 maps distributed you will be well informed with our printed maps. The map pin points each business and public asset giving the user a better idea of where the business or resource is located in the community. The printed map is also color coded so that residents may know which business is participating in the $10 Savings Card promotion.

How do I get to a business’ webpage - for example, a restaurant or other public place?

There are various ways in finding a business through our website. First, you can use the home page navigation and type in the business name. Once you type what you are looking for, click the one you want and it will take you to a business webpage. Another way to reach a business is by selecting the community you would like to explore on the top navigation where it says Communities. If you want to narrow down your search you can use the tab navigation and click on your prefered neighborhood. Once you find the business tab, a list will appear on your screen. You can find the business you are looking for by clicking on the name and it will take you to the business webpage.

Can I find a business through my mobile device?

Yes, you can find a business on your mobile device. You have two ways of looking for a business. You can search in the mobile site or you can scan an assigned QR code from a business’s promotional printed material to take you directly to the business's webpage (mobile page).

I couldn't find a place or business I was searching for. What can I do?

If you can't find what you're looking for, try these:

• Make sure you've spelled the name of the business correctly for the best results on your search.
• Make sure you are in the correct neighborhood or business category. Communities are separated by neighborhoods.

What is a 10 OFF?

With our signature 10 OFF you can save ten dollars on your purchase instantly at participating locations. To save 10, businesses have a minimum purchase requirement. Minimum purchases are easy to identify with our color-coded banners (yellow, red, and blue). Businesses with a yellow banner require a minimum purchase of 30 to save 10, red at least 40, and blue 50. Spot the banner and save! Our printed maps serve as a community resource, as well as guides to local deals. With these colors, you can identify the highlights of participating businesses to help you locate better deals. A physical and digital savings card is available during the time of the local campaign.

How do I claim a 10 OFF offer?

Select the business and the minimum purchase amount to access the 10 discount. Click on the orange button that says “claim your coupon” to access the discount. Click on the orange button that says “generate code”. Take a Screenshot and show the coupon at the store to redeem your deal. Do not forget that you must make a purchase with the minimum amount to validate the promotion. See the color code amount required. To access this offer you must make a minimum purchase of 30, 40, or 50. You choose the minimum amount. Remember your coupon is valid for 3 hours from the time you claimed. If you want to use this offer again, you must wait 3 days.

What are Smart Buys?

Detour Maps Smart Buys are local business coupons and deals that we put together on our platform to make it easier for you to save. Smart buys are deals from various restaurants, stores, and other places in your community. With Smart Buys, you can find items & services from 10-50% off, BOGO, 2x1 or even find something you want for free at your favorite local store. Every Smart Buys deal is unique so you are bound to find something you need or want. Smart Buys coupons are available in print (depending on community) and digital.

How do I redeem Smart Buys?

First, select the discount you like the most. Then, click on the orange button that says “claim your coupon” to access the discount. Click on the orange button that says “generate code”. Take a screenshot and show the code at the store to redeem your deal, now start enjoying! Remember your coupon is valid for 3 hours from the time you claimed it. What are Freebies?

Get rewarded for being a loyal customer. Visit participating businesses, make a certain amount of purchases, and get something for free! Free items determined by participating business. Anniversaries, monthly or seasonal days and special occasions are also considered.

How do I redeem Freebies?

If you’re that kind of person who consumes daily products or services from that business nearby, you will find this awesome reward program for you. How do I claim a gift after completing 5 purchases?

Select one of the participating businesses. Click on the orange button that says “claim your gift”. Click on the orange button that says “generate code”. Take a screenshot and show the code at the store to redeem your gift, now start enjoying! To participate, you must register your purchase by clicking on the “register your visit”. When you complete 05 visits your claim your gift button will activate and it will be ready to start the redeeming process. Remember, each purchase will be a visit. If you want to use this offer again, you must wait 3 days.

Is membership required to use any of the Deals?

Yes. You cannot print or download a coupon, nor redeem any business’ offer, unless you are a Detour Maps member. Membership to detourmaps.com is absolutely FREE. However, as a condition of membership you must agree to a Member Terms of Service.

Is membership required to browse through Detour Maps website and deals?

You are allowed to browse detourmaps.com as a guest and a membership is not required. However, a membership is required to use certain parts of detourmaps.com so becoming a member is strongly encouraged.

How do I find Deals?

Deals can be found on our website under the neighborhoods, deals, or business page or in participating businesses landing page. Once you click the deal you want to use, you need to log in to detourmaps.com or create an account with us to redeem it. How do I redeem Deals? 10 OFF, Smart Buys, Freebies, or 05 Visits: Once you sign in click the deal you want, select redeem and print or download the deal code and you are done! Present your deal code to the business within 3 hours of downloading or printing and instantly save. Mobile version is available.

Where do I keep track of all Deals used?

When you create an account with Detour Maps you also create a profile known as the User Dashboard. In the dashboard you can keep track of the coupons you have already used and you will be notified when the deal re-activates and when you will be able to use it to redeem again. Through the dashboard you can also keep track of the number of referrals you sent out and how many of those people actually visit the business as well as the number of visits you made at a participating business.

Can I redeem Deals through my mobile device?

Yes, you can. Our website is mobile and you have access to your dashboard through your mobile device. Just log in like you normally do, then tap to select the deal you’d like to redeem. Show the screen to the cashier and enjoy your deals. Deals only have 3 hours to redeem, so keep in mind to press or select redeem when you’re ready to head out or visit your prefered business.

Is there an expiration date to these Deals?

Expiration dates vary by the type of deal and also the business’ discretion. Some deals run all year while others only last one to six months. Please read each business’s deal for specific details or ask the business for more details. When you download or print a ‘10 OFF’ or ‘Smart buys’ coupon, they last for 3 hours. You must use it the day of the download or print. After the 3 hours are up you must wait 7 days after downloading to re-use a coupon promotion.

What does Detour Maps do with my information when I register?

We take our customer’s privacy very seriously and your contact information will never be sold to a third party, a fourth party, or pirates. We will send weekly newsletters to the email you provide us about community events and special deals. With the information you provide us during registration, you help us find the best deals for you.

Can I share a Deal I like?

Yes, you can! We give the option to share a deal through our website from the business’ Detour webpage. You can share through your social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+ or you can email the link directly to your friends and family.

What other information can I find on detourmaps.com about each community?

Aside from business information, you can find facts and events from each community on the navigation tabs. For example, if you go on the navigation of the selected community you will find tabs like Discover, Deals, and Events. In the Discover tab there is a slide show containing information of the community such as population, schools, useful numbers etc. Each community is different. There is another tab called Deals where you can find which businesses are participating in the 10 savings card promotion. On that tab you can click the business and it will direct you to that business bubble information. And lastly each community has an Event tab. The event tab will let you know of upcoming events. These are also clickable and once clicked it will pinpoint the location of the event along with the event information. Events can also be found on a business bubble by clicking Show Events (events vary for each business and not all businesses have events)

If you are a business owner and would like to register your business in our Free Listing online, you can go on our homepage on the very bottom on the footer you will see Free Business Listing. What is included in the Free Listing?

When you register your business under free listing online, your business will be added to detourmaps.com directory. You will be given an online webpage that will include business name, address, phone number, directions to help residents get to your business, and a basic mobile page. Free Listing does not include the features such as slide show images, videos, Deals and events.

If I register as a FREE listing, will I be charged on a future date?

Free listing is absolutely FREE. You will not be charged on a future date and we will not ask you to share or provide any credit card or any other payment information unless you will be updating to the Premium Webpage package or any other service.

What is included in the Premium webpage and how can I get one for my business?

A premium webpage is an upgraded free listing webpage in detourmaps.com. This Premium webpage includes all a free listing webpage does and activates:

No, your information is confidential and will only be used by Entire Marketing Group LLC (EMG) and partner division Detour Maps for the review and approval of your advertising information. We will not share without your consent.

You have the option to select a specific neighborhood to promote your business's webpage. You can choose to activate tabs on your web page such as deals, events, video, menu and specials. Also available is our e-blast, blog and social media services that help target a broader audience.

Is there an alternative way of getting to my webpage?

Yes, we provide a tool that gives your customers an alternative way of getting to your webpage. We have created All Access QR+, this option gives you a personalized QR code for your business and shows all your info on a mobile page for your customers to view on their mobile device.

How can customers have access to my mobile page?

Can I just purchase print advertising?

Yes, if your business is not ready to go digital, we can include your ad on our print publication. You will still be registered as a FREE listing on our website as courtesy for being on our map. Once you are ready to take the next step, we can activate tabs as needed.
